I've recently been realizing the struggles that having limited time can cause. It's always stressful having only one or two hours to complete a midterm or only a couple days to do a big homework assignment. And then there's the whole "making friends" thing - I don't have time for making lots of friends if I focus on classwork, which is what I'm here to do. At the same time, I don't think I'm supposed to shut myself into a room and study and read textbooks all the time. Oh, the balancing act of life. (I have actually made some friends, though - don't worry.)
I'm through with midterms now, though, and quite happy with that. It means a little more free time is heading my way! My water chemistry one was even pretty easy - back to my old testing self and leaving tests early again. This batch of midterms were especially miserable because they came right after I was super busy for a week and a half prepping for a heterotrophic plate count lab for 128 students. Not too happy about that.
On another note, today I got to see my parents! They came up and visited my grandparents, then stopped by to go to church with me this morning and stayed around through the afternoon. I was realizing it's a bit weird for me to see my parents while I'm at school; I've gotten used to only seeing them every three and a half months while I'm at school. Altogether a pleasant time and a beautiful day out! Photos will come later, hopefully.
Yep! You HAVE made friends! Me! :)
